The Hungarian Ministery of Innovation & Technology (MIT) has now officially launched the Hungarian AI Coalition (Mesterséges intelligencia koaliíció). There was a formal signing ceremony with more than 70 of the 90 participatory companies present. This presence reinforced the strong support and agreement in the industry that AI can become a key strategy to improve the position of Hungary with regards to not only AI solution implementation, but innovation as well.
The ceremony included several shorts speeches highlighting mostly the importance of putting the coalition in palce. The president, Jakab Roland, emphasized the need to quickly get the proper structure in place so that the necessary initiatives and work groups can be established.
A representative of the Machine Learning Center established earlier this year by Continental in Budapest, spoke about the advances in AI regarding self driving cars and how AI has improved significantly in human movement recognition - a key element for self driving cars to function correctly.
Highlight of the ceremony was the actual signing where AI robot technology was used in the most appropriate way - drones delivered the pens used for signing the memorandum! R2D2 made an appearance the help deliver the pens - an exact replica built on AI technology! The exact same look and feel as in the movie! #c#cschu1
